Njeri Maria Foundation is a non-governmental organization registered in Kenya in 2017 by the regulations of the NGO Board. The Organization focuses on advancing the lives of children and adults with Cerebral Palsy and their impairments. It has evolved from humble beginnings to our current status, where we are privileged to count among our achievements a number of milestones as enumerated below.
The rationale behind the foundation of Njeri Maria Foundation is based on the founder, Njeri Maria,who was born with cerebral palsy. She has managed the condition through early intervention, support systems and inclusive structures around her. Njeri Maria achieved all her milestones and leads a fulfilling productive life. With the interventions that worked and the lessons she learnt that improved her life, she aims to lead the path for other children with cerebral palsy.
Our Mission
We aim to meet the need for awareness as well as a robust support system for people with cerebral palsy (CP), with a focus on community-based rehabilitation,community support system, policy alignment and advocacy, basic inclusive infrastructure and partnerships with like-minded organisations. We strongly believe that enhancing these human aspects contributes to creating a more inclusive society in our homes, organisations and countries, enhancing human rights and justice.
